Hi, I'm Mehrosh! I'm so excited that you're here. Studio Kismat is a little piece of my heart and a venture I've been dreaming about for far too long. It's something I've wanted to bring to life for as long as I can remember, and I'm excited to finally share it with you. I hope you'll follow along as we grow and become part of our little community.
What Is Studio Kismat?
Studio Kismat is a small clothing brand catering to modest and semi-modest dressers. Our woman is someone who loves fashion, appreciates clothing with interesting shapes and textures, and isn't afraid to stand out in a crowd—all without compromising her modesty.
Studio Kismat is anything but neutral and plain.
Why Did I Start Studio Kismat?
Two reasons: to fulfill my lifelong dream of creating my own clothing collection and to address a gap I've personally experienced as a semi-modest dresser.
I've always known I wanted to create my own clothing line. It was just a matter of time, but first, I needed to figure out what I wanted to create and who I wanted to create it for.
As a semi-modest dresser, I STRUGGLE out in the fashion wild trying to find pants that aren't sheer, dresses that aren't strapless, and necklines that don't expose my ladies. And if I'm struggling this much as a semi-modest dresser, I can only imagine what my modest girls are going through.
That's the gap I want Studio Kismat to help fill: clothing for modest and semi-modest women who love fashion but don't want to compromise their personal preferences to enjoy it.
What We're Starting With
We're starting very small, with just two products. Is that even enough to call a collection? Or a business? I'm not sure, but that's what I'm calling it! :)
First, we have a pair of statement pants that aren't see-through, demand attention, and feature a bold silhouette. Then there's our cardigan, perfect for layering, dressing up or down, and, most importantly, covering your bottom!
Two pieces to start, with plenty more to come!
What's Next?
Studio Kismat is a self-funded venture, and there's a lot for me to learn along the way—from understanding our customers to navigating manufacturing, sampling, and sourcing.
Starting with smaller batches feels less intimidating and gives me the opportunity to test the waters, learn through the process, and most importantly, listen to our customers.
We absolutely plan on expanding our product line and introducing new collections, but I want to take our time and grow thoughtfully, with our customers helping shape what comes next.
